Moong dal (skinned spilt mung gram) is amongst one of the most commonly used lentils in India. paasi-paruppu is low in fat content and very high on protein. In fact, moong dal is considered to be one of the best plant-based sources of protein.

Dal Receipe:

  • Dal Makhni - A regular Black/Green Moong dal having butter.

  • Dal Fry - Any yellow dal fried specially with onion and tomatoes in North India.

  • Dal Tadka - Any yellow dal spiced with tadka. The tadka includes a good number of regular spices for ex. cumin seeds, red chilli dry, Fenugreek Seeds, black mustard seeds, cinnamon and bay leaf etc. warmed in Oil.
